A Misplaced Girl
So much can happen in the simple span of an uneventful life. So much can take place between birth and, well, rebirth. So many miles can be traversed without really going very far. A person can easy become misplaced. This is only one such story. Startling in its ordinariness. Mesmerizing only in the universal nature of pain. Just the simple tale of a childlike heart full of intuition and wonder buried under the scratchy layers of well meaning parents. Sabotaged without malice by the best of times. It is the course of dreams routinely diverted. Motives systematically derailed. Disparate threads woven into the intended design. Tares among the wheats, requiring patience and trust that is anything but blind. A girl can easily get misplaced. Sacrifice her still, small voice for pretty lies. Lies that ensnare. Lies that lure her from the quickening planted in her baby soul by God Himself. Dazzled by counterfeits, pretty lies turning ugly in the light. A girl can so readily be misplaced in the darkness of her own mind. And the only hope for such a girl is the dread of exposure. The balm of exposure. The thrill of exposure. And so, the story begins ...

(In case you're wondering - I rarely do things front to back - this is the "begining" of the story you've already been reading over these months - it just came to me this morning - completely out of sequence, but I wanted to share it)
